About the position

The Dietary Aide / Server plays a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests at Riverside Health & Rehabilitation. This position involves assisting in all Culinary Department functions, ensuring meals are served in a palatable and appealing manner, and delivering Platinum Service with each interaction. The role requires a commitment to maintaining sanitary regulations and supporting the overall dining experience within the community.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Prepare cold food items such as salad dressings and fruit trays.
• Follow sanitary regulations at all times.
• Provide Platinum Service with each dining experience.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room with necessary utensils and condiments.
• Assist in checking resident trays before distribution.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Pour hot and cold beverages for residents and assist with containers as needed.
• Prepare and deliver snacks for special events and parties.
• Bus tables during and after meals.
• Stock food and supplies properly and clean storage areas as directed.
• Provide support services to other dining rooms during events and activities as needed.
• Attend trainings and employee meetings as directed by Supervisor(s).
• Clean and follow daily cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal directions.
• Regular attendance, reliability, and punctuality are necessary.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Well organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Aptitude to work independently with excellent time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous serving and/or hospitality experience preferred.
