About the position
As a Caregiver at Sevita, you will play a vital role in providing community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position focuses on helping participants grow, learn, and live fulfilling lives through meaningful relationships and support in their daily activities. You will be entrusted with the responsibility to assist individuals in achieving their developmental goals while ensuring their personal hygiene and addressing any behavioral challenges they may face.
Responsibilities
- Help individuals grow, learn, and live well through supportive care.
- Develop meaningful relationships with the individuals served.
- Take initiative to assist participants in community engagement and activities.
- Support participants in achieving developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
- Assist individuals with personal hygiene and manage behavioral challenges.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
- Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
