About the position
Lancaster EMS is currently recruiting for Full-time EMTs to staff our mental health sedan, starting at $13.86/hour. Lancaster EMS is a premier, nationally accredited ambulance service in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Responding to over 38,000 requests for service annually, Lancaster EMS delivers top quality emergent and non-emergent clinical care supported by a highly engaged medical director, modern equipment, and peer-driven performance improvement team. We are currently seeking Full-time EMTs to staff our mental health sedan transport vehicle. The mental health vehicle is a specially outfitted sedan designed to safely transport individuals not requiring medical observation or treatment. When not committed to a mental health transport, this vehicle is also licensed by the Department of Health as a quick response vehicle to respond to 9-1-1 incidents.
Responsibilities
- Staff the mental health sedan transport vehicle.
- Safely transport individuals not requiring medical observation or treatment.
- Respond to 9-1-1 incidents when not committed to mental health transport.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills during high acuity incidents.
- Maintain focus and competency in documentation ability.
- Drive long distances regularly.
Requirements
- Pennsylvania EMT certification
- High school/college diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Current CPR certification
- EVOC and EMSVO driving credentials
- HazMat Awareness certification
- ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications
- Clean driving record
- At least 1 year of driving experience (required)
- At least 1 year of EMS experience (preferred)
