Full Time - Facility Attendant

About the position

The position involves performing multiple roles at the Cobre Valley Community Center, including front desk and fitness room attendant duties. The role emphasizes customer service, safety supervision, and recreation programming management, while also requiring effective communication and community relationship maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform multiple roles including front desk attendant and fitness room attendant.
• Maintain positive customer service in respective areas.
• Manage and maintain equipment in assigned areas.
• Assist and implement all aspects of recreation programming.
• Handle registration, cash handling, reservations, and membership management.
• Assist the public and answer telephones.
• Maintain supervision and safety in area of responsibility.
• Provide care and supervision to children within the assigned area.
• Promote a marketing plan for the ongoing development of the Cobre Valley Community Center (CVCC).
• Conform to established program budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain position-specific certifications within one month of employment (AED, First Aid, CPR, Food Handlers).
• Knowledge of and ability to apply marketing practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Ability to maintain positive community and working relationships.
• Competency in the use of MS Office Software.
