About the position
The Fulfillment Associate at Lowe's plays a crucial role in delivering quality customer service while ensuring the store is clean, safe, and well-stocked. This position involves preparing and pulling merchandise for delivery, assisting customers and staff, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. The associate must engage with team members to guarantee that the right products are delivered on time, while also adhering to safety protocols during the handling of merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
- Pull and prepare merchandise for delivery or pick up, ensuring accuracy and good condition.
- Assist customers and staff in loading merchandise into vehicles safely.
- Engage in conversations with associates to ensure correct products are delivered on time.
- Verify invoices against loaded products to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure deliveries are ready upon truck arrival and assist with loading, including large appliances.
- Operate power equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and electrical lifts as required.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
- 6 months of experience using a computer for data input and modification.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.
Nice-to-haves
- 6 months retail experience.
- 6 months of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer.
- 6 months experience inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading products or materials in or out of vehicles.
