About the position

As a Fulfillment Lead at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality customer service while ensuring the store is clean, safe, and well-stocked. Your primary responsibilities will include picking and checking merchandise for customer pickup, delivery, and installer pickup. You will engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting them in finding merchandise as needed. Safety is a priority, and you will encourage safe work practices among your team. In this position, you will spend most of your time managing and fulfilling orders, which include online orders, pick up later, delivery, install, and pro orders. You will provide supervision, coaching, and support to Fulfillment Associates, helping to solve issues and prioritize work to meet customer needs. While this role does not require regular travel, occasional travel may be necessary for meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.

Responsibilities

  • Picking and checking merchandise for customer pickup, delivery, and installer pickup.
  • Engaging with customers as they enter the store and assisting them in finding merchandise.
  • Encouraging safe work practices among team members.
  • Managing and fulfilling various types of orders including online, pick up later, delivery, install, and pro orders.
  • Providing supervision, coaching, and support to Fulfillment Associates.
  • Making recommendations to solve issues and prioritizing work to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
  • 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
  • 1 year of retail experience providing customer service, including identifying and resolving customer issues, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business.
  • Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 months experience working in any department at a Lowe's retail store.
  • 6 months of experience in an administrative role processing and filing paperwork including invoices.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience in any field, including directing, delegating, evaluating, training, and coaching employees.
  • 1 year of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer in related department (e.g., kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden).
