About the position

The General Manager at Prime Storage Group plays a crucial role in managing self-storage facilities, focusing on customer service, sales, and property maintenance. This position involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining the facility's standards. The General Manager will be responsible for renting units, upselling products, and resolving customer issues, all while fostering a positive work environment and promoting career advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Renting self-storage units, parking space, and other related products.
• Converting telephone and walk-in inquiries into rentals.
• Maintaining Account Receivables through collections, posting payments, and processing daily bank deposits accurately and timely.
• Upselling moving products and assisting in unit sizing decisions.
• Greeting customers promptly, enthusiastically, and professionally.
• Presenting the features and benefits of the property at all opportunities.
• Resolving customer issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Ensuring that company standards of cleanliness and appearance are met.
• Inspecting the property, including performing lock checks.
• Showing customers self-storage units.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).
• Possession of a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Willingness and ability to perform light maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and lifting.
• Availability for travel and flexibility to work at various locations.
