As a Head Cashier at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while overseeing the checkout area. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers at the self-checkout registers, ensuring they have a smooth and efficient shopping experience. You will proactively engage with customers, offering assistance and recommendations for products and services. This position requires you to be mobile, as you will be moving throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting products to facilitate accurate transactions. You will also be responsible for thanking customers for their business and inviting them back to shop at Lowe's. In addition to customer service, you will be expected to execute Lowe's customer service policies and procedures consistently. This includes seeking out customers to understand their needs, assisting them in locating and selecting merchandise, and providing knowledgeable responses to their inquiries. You will also coach and develop other associates in their departmental duties and sales opportunities, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment. Your role will involve using a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds according to company guidelines. You will supervise and support the CSA Front End Team, ensuring that all register activities are conducted smoothly. This includes opening additional registers when necessary and assisting in line vesting to improve checkout turnaround times. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Overall, as a Head Cashier, you will be accountable for various duties that contribute to a positive shopping experience for customers while supporting the operational efficiency of the store.
