As a Head Cashier at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires you to assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers, proactively engaging with them to recommend products and services. You will be responsible for monitoring the checkout area, providing assistance to customers, and ensuring that transactions are completed accurately and efficiently. Your ability to move throughout the checkout area while standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting will be essential in maintaining a smooth operation during busy periods. In addition to customer service, you will be expected to provide SMART customer service by adhering to Lowe's policies and procedures. This includes seeking out customers to understand their needs, assisting them in locating and selecting merchandise, and providing knowledgeable responses to their inquiries. You will also coach and develop other associates, providing feedback and training on various departmental duties and sales opportunities. Your role will involve using a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds, as well as supervising and supporting the CSA Front End Team. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the store, monitoring merchandise entering and leaving the store, and detecting signs of theft or security risks. This includes conducting daily safety reviews and ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards. Your ability to operate store equipment and perform various tasks as assigned will contribute to the overall success of the store's operations.
