As a Head Cashier at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires you to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers, proactively engaging with them to recommend products and services. You will be responsible for greeting customers, assisting them with their transactions, and ensuring that they feel valued and appreciated during their shopping experience. Your ability to move throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products will be essential in completing transactions accurately and efficiently. In addition to customer service, you will be expected to provide SMART customer service by adhering to Lowe's policies and procedures. This includes seeking out customers to understand their needs, assisting them in locating and selecting merchandise, and responding knowledgeably to their inquiries. You will also coach and develop associates in various departmental duties, ensuring that the Front End Team operates smoothly. Your role will involve using a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds, as well as providing supervision and support to the CSA Front End Team. You will also be responsible for maintaining the in-stock area by preparing the register area at the beginning and end of your shift, inspecting returned merchandise, and managing customer orders. Ensuring a clean and safe store environment is paramount, which includes monitoring cash drawers, detecting signs of theft, and adhering to safety standards. You will be accountable for other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the store and enhancing the customer experience.
