As a Head Cashier at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations at the checkout area. This includes seeking out customers to understand their needs, assisting them in locating and selecting merchandise, and providing knowledgeable responses to inquiries. You will also coach and develop other associates, providing feedback and training on various departmental duties and sales opportunities. Your role will involve using a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds, ensuring compliance with company guidelines. You will also oversee the in-stock area, preparing the register area at the beginning and end of your shift, inspecting returned merchandise, and managing customer orders. Maintaining a clean and safe store environment is essential, as you will monitor cash drawers, assist with security measures, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This position may also require you to operate various store equipment and perform other duties as assigned, making it a dynamic and engaging role within the Lowe's team.
