About the position

The Granite YMCA is seeking a full-time Head Lifeguard/Swim Instructor to oversee pool facilities at the Allard Center of Goffstown. This role is crucial for leading the aquatics staff, ensuring member safety, and maintaining a positive environment in the pool area. Responsibilities

• Supervise Aquatics staff in the absence of the Aquatics Director or Coordinator.
• Provide administrative support on a weekly basis.
• Understand and respond to emergency situations in the pool area.
• Maintain effective relationships with members, participants, and team members.
• Apply safety rules, policies, and guidelines consistently in the pool area.
• Implement and support changes in policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate pool records as required by the YMCA and health department codes.
• Perform equipment checks and ensure availability of rescue equipment and first aid supplies.

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• Lifeguard Training
• Mid-level Swimming Lifeguard experience
• 2 years of teaching experience
• AED Certification
