About the position

The HIPPY Home Visitor is responsible for engaging parents and caregivers in a developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to enhance educational interactions with preschool children. This role involves conducting home visits, facilitating group meetings, and collaborating with a coordinator to improve outcomes for children enrolled in the HIPPY program.

Responsibilities

• Follow all HIPPY regulations, policies, and requirements.
• Meet with the coordinator and other HIPPY staff weekly to understand the curriculum.
• Conduct weekly home visits or meetings with parents or caregivers to role play the curriculum.
• Record and create reports on each family's progress during weekly meetings.
• Maintain confidential family files and enter data into Visit Tracker.
• Establish home visiting schedules and keep accurate progress reports.
• Participate in all required HIPPY functions, including group meetings and field trips.
• Attend necessary staff development training as per HIPPY policy.
• Perform required pre and post assessments on HIPPY children and surveys for parents and caregivers.
• Assist in other tasks as requested by the Coordinator or Director.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
• Parent of a HIPPY 2, 3, 4, or 5-year-old child.
• Experience in social services or customer service is desirable but not required.

• Competent with computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
