As a Host at the Opry Entertainment Group & Ryman Hospitality Properties, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests at our multi-experiential live music venue, bar, and restaurant. Your primary responsibility will be to meet, greet, and seat guests with a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude. You will serve as a general source of information for all guests entering the venue, ensuring they feel valued and informed from the moment they arrive. This position requires a commitment to teamwork, service, and integrity, fostering a positive and productive work environment for both staff and guests. In this role, you will work closely with your team to deliver exceptional service, contributing to unforgettable experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for controlling the flow of guests entering the restaurant, managing waitlists through OpenTable, and providing accurate wait time estimates. Your ability to seat guests efficiently will maximize service efficiency and enhance overall operations performance. You will also be tasked with maintaining a clean and orderly food service environment, adhering to sanitation procedures required by health regulatory agencies. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with guests and staff, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally. Attending pre-shift meetings will be essential to stay informed about ongoing logistics, special events, and other necessary information to ensure smooth operations. You will also support basic front-of-house service needs, including delivering food and beverages to tables and ensuring responsible alcohol service in compliance with local ordinances and company policies.
