About the position
The Lead Insurance Claims Specialist at Mid America Health is responsible for overseeing various revenue cycle duties related to dental insurance claims. This full-time position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The role involves reviewing and submitting dental claims, managing accounts receivable, and providing support for credentialing and contracting.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental claim review and submission
- Identify and correct rejected and denied claims
- Manage accounts receivable including appeals
- Process and monitor incoming payments
- Update insurance plans/fee schedules as needed
- Transcribe chart notes
- Provide support with credentialing and contracting
- Assist with dental insurance verification for commercial and Medicaid plans in various states when needed
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of dental terminology and CDT codes
- Experience in dental insurance billing
- Time management skills
