About the position

Winchester Cardiology and Vascular Medicine (WCVM) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join our team of 19+ board certified Cardiologists and 11 advanced practice clinicians in the beautiful Northern Virginia Shenandoah Valley. The ideal candidate will become part of a growing Heart and Vascular Program, working alongside 6 Interventional Cardiologists. We are particularly interested in candidates with a focus on peripheral vascular disease. This position emphasizes a collaborative team approach, with opportunities for involvement in research and teaching. WCVM operates as a private practice leased by Valley Health, which encompasses 6 hospitals, with Winchester Medical Center (WMC) being the largest, featuring nearly 500 beds. WMC is equipped with 9 Cath Labs, including 2 dedicated to electrophysiology and a state-of-the-art Hybrid OR/Cath lab established in 2016. The center performs nearly 1000 PCI's annually, along with 160 CABG's, 60 surgical valves, and 120 transcatheter valves, including TAVR and MitraClip procedures. Additionally, there is a robust Watchman program in place. The interventional call schedule is approximately 1 in 5, with weekend call around 1 in 7 weekends, and ample support from advanced practice clinicians. The practice is located in a modern 30,000 sq. ft. facility built in 2020, which connects directly to the cardiovascular lab and inpatient hospital. We also have satellite clinics in Martinsburg, W.V., and provide outreach services at Valley Health Multi-specialty clinics. Our team includes interventional cardiologists, non-invasive cardiologists, an advanced heart failure specialist, a structural heart specialist, and electrophysiologists. We utilize EPIC as our electronic medical record system in both clinic and hospital settings, and our facility includes a complete diagnostic testing area with an active Nuclear Department, a fully digital echo lab, and a full vascular lab. This position is structured as a 2-year associate role with a pathway to partnership in the third year. The compensation package is highly competitive and includes management and quality incentives. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, full malpractice coverage, disability coverage, life insurance, and a CME allotment. Retirement benefits are available after the first year of employment, and we provide a moving expense stipend along with the potential for an early signing bonus.
