About the position

Hatch is seeking a Junior Structural CAD Designer to join their team in Pittsburgh. This full-time position is ideal for recent graduates or students pursuing an Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD). The role involves working closely with experienced engineers and designers, providing an opportunity for mentorship and professional growth in a dynamic environment focused on delivering innovative solutions in the metals, mining, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

Responsibilities

• Perform assignments related to your sector
• Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects
• Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
• Coordinate with other technicians/engineers on projects
• Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as needed

Requirements

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with an Associates of Science Degree in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)
• Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD software packages
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates critical and creative thinking and problem solving
• Highly motivated with a positive attitude
• Good safety awareness
