Our boutique law firm in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal/Case Manager to join our team. This full-time position is essential for assisting our attorney with daily tasks related to personal injury and lemon law cases. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience working in a litigation law firm, with a strong preference for those who have prior legal experience in personal injury or lemon law. This is not a remote position; we are looking for local candidates from the San Fernando Valley who are interested in building a long-term career in the legal field. In this role, you will be working in a paperless office environment, which requires a comprehensive background in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as familiarity with Adobe and the Apple operating system. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred, as significant interaction with clients is a key aspect of this position. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the firm’s success, rather than those who are merely looking for a short-term job or a resume-booster. Your daily responsibilities will include drafting correspondences and notices to opposing counsel, clients, and court officials, reviewing and finalizing legal documents, preparing meet and confer letters for discovery, e-filing necessary documents with the court, and coordinating appointments, motion hearings, expert and client meetings, and depositions. You will also be responsible for calendaring pertinent dates for cases and maintaining significant interaction with clients. Prior experience in drafting pleadings such as complaints, answers, demurrers, and motion papers is required, along with knowledge of filing documents and writing legal correspondence.
