About the position
The Full-Time Live-In Nanny position in Westport, CT, is designed for a dedicated individual to care for two children aged 8 months and 2.5 years. This role requires a warm, active, and independent nanny who can manage busy schedules and provide a nurturing environment. The position is live-in from Monday to Friday, with accommodations provided, and is ideal for someone with a long-term career in childcare.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the morning routine, including breakfast and preparing the children for the day.
- Drive the 2.5-year-old to school.
- Engage in age-appropriate activities and developmental play.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including children's laundry and meal preparation.
- Pick up the children from school around noon and manage the afternoon routine, including nap time.
- Prepare dinner and assist with the evening routine before bedtime.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (family provides a car for use).
- Strong swimming skills due to the presence of a pool at the home.
- Flu and Tdap vaccinations required (COVID vaccination optional).
- Previous live-in nanny experience with a long-term work history preferred.
- Strong recent childcare experience with infants and toddlers.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to commit to long-term employment.
- Provide 3-5 professional references.
