About the position
The position of a full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) involves providing high-quality clinical services within the defined scope of nursing practice. The LVN will work in coordination with other healthcare team members, adhering to state laws and infection control procedures, while ensuring effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical services as per the plan of care.
- Observe and report the patient's nursing needs to the supervising RN.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and family members regarding patient care issues.
- Document patient visits thoroughly and in compliance with policy and payer requirements.
- Maintain an accurate and current medication listing for patients.
- Schedule home visits and coordinate care with other clinicians.
Requirements
- Current LVN licensure in the state of Texas.
- Valid CPR Certification.
- Current Driver's License and vehicle insurance.
- Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
