About The Position

The Full Time Medical Assistant position at Medical Associates involves supporting physicians and healthcare practitioners in delivering exceptional patient care within an Internal Medicine practice. The role requires a motivated and energetic individual who can assist with various tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience, including managing electronic medical records (EMR), preparing examination rooms, and assisting with medical procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience with EMR and EMR system implementation.
• Certificate of Completion of Medical Assistance Program preferred.
• BCLS Certification preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with vital signs for at least one year.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms for patient visits.
• Pull and maintain patient charts and verify documents.
• Ensure timely service and greet patients upon arrival.
• Obtain and document patient information accurately.
• Assist providers during medical procedures as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff members.
• Update and maintain the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Perform cleaning, sterilizing, organizing, and inventory tasks.
