About the position

As a Merchandising Service Associate at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that the store's merchandising standards are met. This position requires a commitment to providing SMART customer service at all times, which involves executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs effectively. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with vendors, ensuring that merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe's specifications, and collaborating with the Merchandising Service team and Manager to communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders. While the majority of your time will be spent on tasks that do not involve direct customer interaction, you will still be expected to engage with customers when opportunities arise. This includes understanding customers' needs and assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. You will also be responsible for listening to and responding knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, demonstrating sincere appreciation to customers, and communicating information regarding stock, special orders, and warranty information related to Lowe's programs. In addition to customer service, you will be involved in various in-stock responsibilities, such as moving or replacing beams and grids, rotating stock, building products, and ensuring that displays and support materials are set up according to project instructions. You will identify damaged products, verify buyback items, and ensure that product pricing information is visible and clear. Maintaining a clean and safe store environment is also a key aspect of your role, which includes completing assigned merchandise resets, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards, and operating store equipment as needed. You will be held accountable for other duties as assigned, including maintaining point-of-sale signage and auditing pricing labels to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SMART customer service at all times through the execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Build relationships with vendors by providing direction and ensuring merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe's specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedules, and project needs.
  • Analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
  • Listen to and respond knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
  • Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers and communicate information regarding stock, special orders, and warranty information.
  • Move or replace beams and grids, rotate stock, build products, and display products and support materials using power equipment per reset and/or project instructions.
  • Identify damaged products, remove them from shelves, and deliver them to the Return to Manufacturer area.
  • Verify buyback items and ensure they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping.
  • Update and validate wayfinding and product location signage throughout the store.
  • Confirm that product pricing information is visible and clear, resolving any missing pricing labels.
  • Stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale in collaboration with store leadership.
  • Sort products in bins, drawers, and boxes to ensure proper location and organization.
  • Review, complete, and enter completion details for all assigned merchandise reset, service, and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all reset displays are safe and in working order, repairing or replacing as needed.
  • Remove trash and debris, and maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas.

Requirements
