About the position

The Merchandising Service Associate at Lowe's is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while executing merchandising tasks. This role involves collaborating with the Merchandising Service team, building vendor relationships, and ensuring that merchandise resets are completed according to company specifications. The associate will also analyze metrics to provide feedback on project execution and instore service, while engaging with customers to assist them with their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Builds relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe's specifications.
  • Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs.
  • Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and instore service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
  • Engages with customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions.
  • Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information.
  • Moves or replaces beams and grids, rotates stock, builds products, and displays products and support materials using power equipment.
  • Identifies damaged products, removes them from the shelves, and delivers them to the Return to Manufacturer area.
  • Verifies buyback items and ensures they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping.
  • Updates/validates wayfinding and product location signage and maintains digital information throughout the store.
  • Confirms that product pricing information is visible and clear and resolves/replaces any missing pricing labels.
  • Works with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of store and working areas, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards.
  • Operates store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department.

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service or retail environment.
  • Ability to operate power equipment and store tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • Basic analytical skills to analyze metrics and provide feedback.
