About the position

The Merchandising Service Associate at Lowe's is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while executing merchandising tasks. This role involves collaborating with the Merchandising Service team, managing project priorities, and ensuring compliance with Lowe's merchandising standards. The associate will engage with customers to understand their needs and assist them in locating and selecting merchandise, while also performing various in-stock and maintenance tasks to maintain store organization and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Builds relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe's specifications.
  • Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs.
  • Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
  • Engages with customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions.
  • Demonstrates sincere appreciation to customers and communicates information regarding stock and special order merchandise.
  • Moves or replaces beams and grids, rotates stock, builds products, and displays products using power equipment per reset and/or project instructions.
  • Identifies damaged products, removes them from the shelves, and delivers them to the Return to Manufacturer area.
  • Verifies buyback items and ensures they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping.
  • Updates/validates wayfinding and product location signage throughout the store.
  • Confirms that product pricing information is visible and clear and resolves/replaces any missing pricing labels.
  • Ensures cross merchandise, side stack products, j-hooks, and gravity feed bins are placed appropriately to drive add-on sales.
  • Works with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale.
  • Cleans and maintains the store environment, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in customer service or retail environment.
  • Ability to operate power equipment and store equipment as needed.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with customers and team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in merchandising or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with retail operations and merchandising standards.
