About the position

The Merchandising Service Associate at Lowe's is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while executing merchandising tasks. This role involves collaborating with the Merchandising Service team, building relationships with vendors, and ensuring that merchandise resets are completed according to company specifications. The associate will also engage with customers to understand their needs and assist them in locating and selecting products, while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provides SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs.
  • Builds relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe's specifications.
  • Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs.
  • Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
  • Engages with customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions.
  • Moves or replaces beams and grids, rotates stock, builds products, and displays products and support materials using power equipment.
  • Identifies damaged products and removes them from the shelves, delivering them to the Return to Manufacturer area.
  • Verifies buyback items and ensures they are pulled, prepped, and ready for shipping.
  • Updates/validates wayfinding and product location signage throughout the store.
  • Confirms that product pricing information is visible and clear and resolves/replaces any missing pricing labels.
  • Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with customers and vendors.
  • Experience in merchandising and retail operations.
  • Familiarity with using power equipment for merchandising tasks.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and management.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of Lowe's products and services.
  • Previous experience in a retail environment.
