About the position

The Customer Service role at Lowe's focuses on delivering exceptional service to customers while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The position involves collaborating with various teams to manage merchandise resets, analyze project metrics, and engage with customers to meet their needs. Although the role primarily involves indirect customer interaction, it requires proactive engagement when opportunities arise, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies and procedures.
  • Build relationships with vendors and ensure merchandise resets are completed according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team and Manager to communicate project priorities and needs.
  • Analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution and in-store service to leadership.
  • Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise when needed.
  • Listen to and respond to customer and employee questions, guiding them through the store as necessary.
  • Demonstrate appreciation to customers and communicate information about stock and special orders.
  • Move or replace beams and grids, rotate stock, and build displays using power equipment as per project instructions.
  • Identify and remove damaged products, ensuring they are processed correctly.
  • Verify buyback items and prepare them for shipping.
  • Update signage and ensure product pricing information is clear and visible.
  • Stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale in collaboration with store leadership.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store and working areas, adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to engage with customers and team members effectively.
  • Ability to operate power equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail for maintaining accurate pricing and signage.
  • Basic understanding of retail merchandising standards and practices.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and provide actionable feedback.
