While the majority of the time will be spent on activities that do not involve direct customer interaction, the individual in this role is expected to engage with customers whenever the opportunity arises. This includes understanding customers' needs and assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. The role requires actively seeking out customers to understand their needs and responding knowledgeably and promptly to inquiries. The individual will also communicate information regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe's programs, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. In terms of in-stock responsibilities, the individual will be required to move or replace beams and grids, rotate stock, build products, and display products and support materials using power equipment as per reset and project instructions. Identifying damaged products, verifying buyback items, and ensuring proper signage and pricing information are also critical tasks. The role involves working with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale and ensuring that products are sorted correctly in bins, drawers, and boxes. Maintaining clean and safe stores is another essential aspect of this position. The individual will review, complete, and enter details for all assigned merchandise reset, service, and maintenance tasks. This includes ensuring that all reset displays are safe and in working order, repairing damaged packaging, and maintaining compliance with housekeeping standards. The role also requires the individual to operate store equipment as needed and adhere to all safety requirements relevant to their job duties. Overall, this position is accountable for various duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the store environment.
