About the position

The Customer Service role at Lowe's focuses on delivering exceptional service to customers while ensuring that store operations run smoothly. The position involves collaborating with various teams to manage merchandise resets, analyze project execution metrics, and engage with customers to meet their needs. Although direct customer interaction is not the primary focus, the role requires proactive engagement with customers when opportunities arise, ensuring they receive assistance with locating and understanding products.

Responsibilities

  • Provides SMART customer service through the execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Builds relationships with vendors and ensures merchandise resets are completed according to specifications.
  • Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager to communicate project priorities and needs.
  • Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to leadership.
  • Engages with customers to understand their needs and assists them in locating and demonstrating merchandise.
  • Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
  • Demonstrates appreciation to customers and communicates information regarding stock and special orders.
  • Moves or replaces beams and grids, rotates stock, and builds displays using power equipment.
  • Identifies and removes damaged products, ensuring they are signed off as defective.
  • Verifies buyback items and prepares them for shipping.
  • Orders replacements for damaged or missing signage and updates product location signage.
  • Confirms visibility of product pricing information and resolves any missing labels.
  • Stages clearance and damaged merchandise for quick sale in collaboration with store leadership.
  • Sorts products to ensure proper location in bins, drawers, and boxes.
  • Completes and enters details for all assigned merchandise reset and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensures reset displays are safe and in working order, repairing or replacing as needed.
  • Removes trash and debris, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the store.
  • Replaces light bulbs and alerts Facility Services Associate of maintenance issues.
  • Detects signs of theft and communicates them to management.
  • Maintains a safe work environment by conducting daily safety reviews and adhering to safety requirements.
  • Operates store equipment as needed for specific roles.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers effectively.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and provide feedback on project execution.
  • Experience in merchandising and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and compliance in a retail environment.
  • Ability to operate power equipment and store tools.
