While the majority of the role involves activities that do not require direct customer interaction, the individual is expected to engage with customers whenever the opportunity arises. This includes understanding customer needs and assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. The role requires active listening and prompt responses to customer and employee inquiries, often guiding them through various areas of the store and projects. Demonstrating sincere appreciation to customers and effectively communicating information regarding stock, special orders, and warranty details related to Lowe's programs is essential. In terms of in-stock responsibilities, the individual will be involved in moving or replacing beams and grids, rotating stock, and building product displays using power equipment. Identifying and managing damaged products, verifying buyback items, and ensuring proper signage and pricing information are also critical tasks. The role includes maintaining cleanliness and safety within the store, completing assigned tasks, and adhering to safety requirements relevant to the job duties. The individual will also be responsible for operating store equipment as needed, ensuring a safe and secure work environment, and conducting daily safety reviews.
