As a Merchandising Service Associate at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring that merchandise is presented according to company standards. Your primary responsibility will be to execute Lowe's customer service policies and procedures, providing SMART customer service at all times. You will build relationships with vendors, ensuring that merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe's specifications. Collaboration with the Merchandising Service team and Manager is essential, as you will communicate project priorities, schedules, and needs for materials and supplies. In this role, you will spend a significant amount of time on tasks that do not involve direct customer interaction; however, you are expected to engage with customers when opportunities arise. This includes understanding customers' needs and assisting them in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. You will also be responsible for listening to and responding knowledgeably to customer inquiries, providing information about stock, special orders, and warranty details related to Lowe's programs. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining in-stock conditions by moving or replacing beams and grids, rotating stock, and building displays using power equipment. You will identify and manage damaged products, ensuring they are removed from shelves and processed correctly. Additionally, you will verify buyback items, update signage, and ensure that product pricing is visible and accurate. You will work closely with store leadership to manage clearance and damaged merchandise effectively. Safety and cleanliness are paramount in this role. You will review and complete service tasks, ensuring that all displays are safe and in working order. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, adhering to safety requirements, and operating store equipment as needed. This position may require you to conduct daily safety reviews and communicate any security risks to management.
