About the position

The Customer Service role at Lowe's focuses on delivering exceptional service to customers while executing merchandising tasks and maintaining store standards. The position involves building relationships with vendors, collaborating with the Merchandising Service team, and analyzing metrics to improve project execution and in-store service. Although direct customer interaction is limited, the individual is expected to engage with customers to understand their needs and assist them effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provides SMART customer service through the execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Builds relationships with vendors by ensuring merchandise resets are completed according to specifications.
  • Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager to communicate project priorities and needs.
  • Analyzes metrics and provides feedback on project execution and in-store service to store, market, and corporate leaders.
  • Understands customers' needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists them accordingly.
  • Listens to and responds knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
  • Demonstrates appreciation to customers and communicates information regarding stock, special orders, and warranty information.
  • Moves or replaces beams and grids, rotates stock, and builds displays using power equipment as per project instructions.
  • Identifies and removes damaged products, ensuring they are signed off as defective.
  • Verifies buyback items and ensures they are ready for shipping.
  • Orders replacements for damaged or missing signage and updates product location signage.
  • Confirms product pricing information is visible and resolves any missing pricing labels.
  • Works with store leadership to stage clearance and damaged merchandise for sale.
  • Sorts products to ensure proper location and organization in the store.
  • Reviews and enters completion details for assigned tasks, ensuring all displays are safe and in working order.
  • Removes trash and debris, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the store.
  • Operates store equipment as needed, adhering to safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with customers effectively.
  • Experience in retail or merchandising is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and provide constructive feedback.
  • Familiarity with power equipment and safety protocols in a retail environment.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors.
