About the position

The Customer Service role at Lowe's focuses on delivering exceptional service to customers while ensuring that merchandise is presented according to company standards. This position involves collaborating with various teams to manage project priorities and maintain a clean and safe store environment. Although direct customer interaction is limited, the role requires engaging with customers to assist them with their needs and providing knowledgeable responses to inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service through the execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
• Builds relationships with vendors and ensures merchandise resets are completed according to specifications.
• Collaborates with the Merchandising Service team and Manager to communicate project priorities and needs.
• Engages with customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
• Demonstrates appreciation to customers and communicates information regarding stock, special orders, and warranty information.
• Merchandises to plantogram and maintains plant displays to grand opening ready standards.
• Identifies and orders replacements for damaged or missing signage and displays.
• Updates wayfinding and product location signage throughout the store.
• Ensures proper placement of cross merchandise and assists with pricing dead and distressed plants.
• Maintains communication with management and associates regarding quality and quantity issues.
• Adjusts fixtures and displays using power equipment as needed.
• Completes and enters details for assigned service and maintenance tasks, ensuring displays are safe and in working order.
• Removes trash and debris, and maintains cleanliness in the Outside Garden area.
• Conducts daily safety reviews and adheres to safety requirements relevant to job duties.
• Operates store equipment as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
• Ability to work overnight and weekends.
• Ability to utilize web-based computer programs to accomplish assigned tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic tools needed for the job (e.g., hand tools, drills, saws).
• 6 months of live nursery experience or Lowe's sales floor experience.
• 6 months of experience performing product merchandising tasks including reading plantograms and setting up displays.
• 3 months of experience operating power equipment such as lifts and order pickers.
