About the position

Transitions Healthcare Washington PA is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join our team of talented caregivers. This position is for the second shift, with hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required. As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with their activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing and personal hygiene. You will also monitor stock levels of equipment to ensure that all necessary supplies are available to meet residents' needs. Additionally, you will be expected to recommend changes in techniques and procedures to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations. We value teamwork and expect our Personal Care Aides to function independently while demonstrating flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies. A genuine caring attitude towards residents, including the ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally unstable individuals, is essential. You will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing a positive physical, emotional, and psychosocial environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Bathe and assist residents with their ADLs
  • Monitor stock levels of equipment to ensure they are maintained on premises
  • Recommend changes in techniques and/or procedures for cost-effective and efficient operation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or administration

Requirements

  • Must genuinely care about others
