About the position
A loving and dedicated full-time nanny is sought by a wonderful family in Rye, NY, to care for their three children aged 1, 3, and 6. This role emphasizes integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic, providing a nurturing environment for the children. The position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule and the opportunity to engage in various age-appropriate activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts, and educational exercises.
- Provide basic care for the infant, including feeding, diapering, and soothing.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including tidying up play areas and children's rooms.
- Assist with homework and educational tasks for older children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities, needs, and any concerns.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a full-time nanny.
- Experience caring for at least two children simultaneously.
- Proven history of long-term employment with families (at least one family for 3+ years).
- Clean driving record, transportation is part of the duties with our car.
- Strong references from the last two positions.
- Familiarity with infant care practices is essential.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus.
- Strong caregiving skills with the ability to manage multiple children effectively.
