About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse II to join our healthcare team at Plymouth Village. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. The LVN II will work closely with our medical staff to deliver exceptional care and outcomes to our patients. The position requires working full-time hours from 11 PM to 7:15 AM on a 4-2 rotation, ensuring that our patients receive continuous care throughout the night. In this role, the LVN II will utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to hospital policies and protocols. Accurate and efficient documentation of patient medical records is essential, maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. The LVN will administer medications and treatments, including botulinum toxin injections, under the supervision of a licensed medical professional. Managing acute pain effectively is a critical responsibility, utilizing a variety of pain management techniques and modalities. The LVN II will also provide specialized dementia care to patients with varying degrees of cognitive impairment, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans. This ensures that patients receive the most effective treatment possible. Proficiency in electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks) is required to access patient information and update records as needed. Additionally, the LVN will operate medical equipment to monitor patient vital signs and provide care as necessary. Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state of California.
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably with a background in acute care.
  • Strong knowledge of medical documentation and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet patient needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks).
  • Certification in Acute Pain Management or related field.
  • Knowledge of dementia care and experience in caring for patients with cognitive impairment.
