The Office Clerk position at the Los Angeles California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is an intermediate level individual contributor role that plays a vital part in supporting the Human Resource Department. This role is designed to enable a capable and engaged workforce to accomplish the Lord's work through inspiration, collaboration, best practices, and efficiency. The Office Clerk will perform a limited variety of clerical tasks for assigned functional groups, utilizing established processes, limited analysis, and basic problem-solving techniques. Employees in this position will work under general supervision and receive general instructions on the tasks to be performed, ensuring that all duties align with the Church's mission and values. The responsibilities of the Office Clerk include making copies, scanning documents, sending faxes, maintaining records and files, performing data entry, compiling and organizing data, performing standard calculations, distributing mail, answering simple questions and inquiries, and directing phone calls. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least three years of applicable experience in an office setting. The ideal candidate will possess intermediate office skills, including moderate research abilities, knowledge of standard office equipment, and familiarity with office software sufficient to create or modify spreadsheets and word processing documents. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations and work under general supervision while following standard procedures and written instructions.
