About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time position starting in the 2024-2025 school year. This role will involve working with students in grades Kindergarten through 8, supporting their educational and developmental needs through occupational therapy services. The Occupational Therapist will play a crucial role in enhancing the students' ability to participate in school activities and improve their overall well-being. The position requires a compassionate and skilled professional who can effectively assess and address the unique needs of each student. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for conducting assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and goals, and providing direct occupational therapy services to students both individually and in group settings. Collaboration is key in this role, as the OT will work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals. Participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings is also a critical aspect of the job, where the OT will contribute to goal setting and ensure that therapy aligns with the students' educational plans. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress is essential to track the effectiveness of the therapy and to communicate with other stakeholders involved in the students' education. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
