About the position

Valley Health is seeking a dedicated Brain and Spine Advanced Practice Provider to join our esteemed Virginia Brain & Spine team located in Winchester, VA. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of 5 surgeons and 7 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in a dynamic environment that includes both operating room (OR) and clinic settings. Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons in the operating room during brain and spine procedures.
  • Provide patient care in both the clinic and hospital settings.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment options.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and post-operative care.
  • Participate in the training and mentorship of new staff and students.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in neurosurgery or orthopedic surgery is a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
