About the position
The Physical Therapist position at JAG Physical Therapy involves assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses to create effective treatment plans in a supportive and energetic environment. The role focuses on aiding patients in healing, recovery, pain management, and maximizing functional independence. The therapist will implement treatment plans daily and work collaboratively with a team while also having the opportunity to mentor new graduates.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' strengths and weaknesses to devise treatment plans.
- Implement and execute daily treatment plans and plans of care.
- Collect and record patient care data according to regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare for evaluations by obtaining patient history and understanding diagnoses.
- Provide education and training to patients and their support systems.
- Oversee support staff including PTA, ATC, and PT aides.
- Promote JAG Physical Therapy in the community through lectures and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate degree preferred.
- Experience or knowledge with EMR software.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
- Familiarity with billing and coding practices.
