About the position

We are a busy Plaintiff's Personal Injury Law Firm seeking a dedicated Full-Time Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, with at least three years of recent experience in this field. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple cases and assist attorneys in preparing for trials, depositions, and hearings. The paralegal will be responsible for drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and maintaining case files. Additionally, familiarity with the Smart Advocate Program is preferred, as it will enhance the efficiency of case management and client communication. As a Full-Time Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys and clients, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. You will be expected to communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals, providing updates and gathering information as needed. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. This position is in-person at our office located at 1225 Franklin Avenue, Garden City, NY 11530. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, depositions, and hearings.

  • Manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • At least three (3) years of recent experience in Plaintiff's Personal Injury law.
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a paralegal.
  • Familiarity with the Smart Advocate Program is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with case management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
