About the position

We are seeking a dynamic PowerBI and Tableau Instructor to join our team at Hackbright Academy! As the Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping and guiding the learning experience of our students. This is a temporary, on-site role in Charlotte, North Carolina, where you can share your expertise and passion for PowerBI, Tableau, and data visualization with a motivated group of learners. You will be responsible for ensuring that students understand the key concepts and skills taught in the curriculum and have the support they need to successfully complete their projects.

Responsibilities

• Skillfully deliver and facilitate our dynamic course content to inspire students to reach their full potential.
• Lead engaging in-class exercises and provide hands-on guidance during project time, while fostering stimulating lecture discussions.
• Conduct regular student reviews and critiques, providing valuable feedback to support their progress and success.
• Encourage and motivate students as they navigate the challenges of learning a new skill set, empowering them to achieve their goals.
• Provide prompt and meaningful feedback to students on their progress, helping them to continuously improve their skills.
• Take ownership of our curriculum, related Github repositories, and internal software projects, constantly improving and auditing them to ensure excellence and innovation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PowerBI and Tableau position.
• A talent for creatively and effectively teaching technical topics through engaging lectures.
• A drive to continually learn and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies.
• A strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with colleagues.
• A willingness to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Expertise in the latest technologies and tools related to PowerBI and Tableau.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience teaching, mentoring, instructing, or tutoring.
