Responsibilities

• Formulate daily goals and a plan of care for patients, considering their individual needs.
• Practice solid communication skills to articulate patient conditions to other care providers.
• Participate in unit-based shared governance and quality improvement efforts.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of practice or a state covered by a compact agreement.
• BSN preferred, with zero to two years of experience in nursing.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and staff.
• Good clinical judgment with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Mobility and visual manual dexterity, with physical stamina for frequent walking and lifting.

Nice-to-haves

• UPMC approved national certification preferred.
• Experience in Med Surg, ER, or ICU is highly preferred.
