About the position
The Receiver/Stocker at Lowe's plays a crucial role in ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized, providing quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position involves unloading merchandise, stocking shelves, and preparing the store for sales success, primarily during overnight shifts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and safe store environment.
- Accurately receive, stock, and replenish merchandise.
- Safely unload merchandise from incoming freight and move it to the sales floor.
- Organize merchandise and top stock to set up stores for sales success.
- Handle hazardous materials and replace damaged shelving.
- Keep the backroom organized and ensure equipment is charged.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Minimally able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.
Nice-to-haves
- 3 months of experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.
- 6 months of experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking.
