Healogics is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse (RN) for our Med Surg department, located in Rockledge, Florida. As the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, Healogics treats over 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across more than 600 sites. With the increasing prevalence of non-healing wounds due to an aging population, obesity, diabetes, and surgical procedures, our mission is to provide high-quality care to those in need through our outpatient clinic partnerships. The RN will work under the direction of the Wound Care Center Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator, primarily focusing on patient care, intake, and discharge processes for Wound Care Center patients. The role may also involve serving as a Case Manager for a group of assigned patients, depending on the specific setup of the Wound Care Center. In this position, the RN will be responsible for performing initial nursing assessments, communicating findings with physicians, assessing wound stages, documenting care plans, and evaluating patient status in relation to desired outcomes. The RN will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to patients and caregivers, and advocate for patients in the delivery and coordination of care. Additional responsibilities may include performing hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after completing the necessary training, collaborating with other healthcare providers, and functioning as a Documentation Assistant as needed. All employees are expected to adhere to Healogics policies, hospital policies, and relevant regulations, including those set by accrediting organizations and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
