About the position

The Retail Merchandising Specialist at BDS Connected Solutions is a full-time role focused on conducting installation, maintenance, and merchandising tasks in retail environments. This position involves building and maintaining displays, performing troubleshooting and repairs, and participating in a prescription drug collection program. The role requires a commitment to quality service and effective communication with store personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Install and/or build displays, fixturing, and endcaps, including setup of security, cabling, wiring, and audio connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure displays are fully functional and meet maintenance requirements.
  • Lead teams on multi-rep projects, which may require travel into the market.
  • Meet ad-hoc maintenance requirements, including store service within 48-72 hours.
  • Independently troubleshoot and enable fully functional displays with necessary parts.
  • Travel up to 120 miles with paid drive time and mileage per company policy.
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with potential for 45-50+ hours based on business needs.
  • Report the status of each store visit accurately to show success in achieving objectives.
  • Perform general merchandising functions including reset PLANOGRAMs, POP, and pricing/fact tags.
  • Build in-store relationships and participate actively in weekly conference calls.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling reports and entering data/reports same day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in building displays and fixturing.
  • Experience using tools required to maintain displays.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and fixing display issues, such as light fixtures and electronic component connectivity.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to independently manage an account base.
  • Ability to read schematics and connect components correctly.
  • Proficient using a personal smartphone/tablet with GPS functionality.
