About the position
As a Sales Associate at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their home improvement needs. This position involves engaging with customers, helping them find the right products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will work in various departments, depending on hiring needs, and will be responsible for maintaining merchandise and assisting with customer inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers to Lowe's and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down stock merchandise by replenishing supplies in empty areas on shelves.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure timely receipt of merchandise.
- Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to enhance customer service delivery.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs, such as mixing paint or cutting materials.
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout processes.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 6 months experience using a computer for information management.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Ability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation.
Nice-to-haves
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bilingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).
