About the position

The Sales Associate in Flooring at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked store environment. This role involves assisting customers with their home improvement needs, processing orders, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The associate will engage with customers, validate loading tickets, and load merchandise, all while adhering to safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service to customers in the store.
• Assist customers with home improvement project needs and product selection.
• Validate loading tickets and process orders and deliveries accurately.
• Engage in safe work practices and encourage others to do the same.
• Listen to customers and use expertise to help them with their needs.
• Load merchandise for customers and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Report any safety or security concerns around the store entrance.

Requirements

• 6 months of experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Nice-to-haves

• 6 months of sales experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
• 6 months of retail experience providing customer service and resolving customer issues.
• Bi-lingual skills, if applicable to the store.
• Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical).
