About the position
The Sales Specialist - Appliances at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-stocked and safe store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating product features, and ensuring merchandise is showroom ready. The specialist serves as an expert in appliances, aiming to close sales and provide consultative services to customers, while also executing orders and projects in their area of focus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked store.
- Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
- Ensure merchandise is displayed to high standards and operates correctly during demonstrations.
- Engage in safe work practices and operate store equipment properly.
- Provide exceptional consultative services to customers and confirm their needs are met before leaving the store.
- Execute orders and projects related to appliances.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and lifting up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
- 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
- 2 years of experience in customer service, including resolving complaints and building customer relationships.
- 2 years of experience following up on outstanding customer orders or sales.
- 1 year of experience promoting product-related services such as installation and delivery.
- 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals.
- 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
- 1 year of experience selling appliances.
