About the position

The Sales Specialist - Appliances at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-stocked and organized store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating product features, and providing consultative services to ensure customer satisfaction. The Sales Specialist will also execute orders and projects related to appliances, ensuring that displayed merchandise meets high standards of readiness and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked store.
• Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
• Ensure merchandise is showroom ready and operates correctly during demonstrations.
• Engage in safe work practices and operate store equipment properly.
• Explain product specifications and features to customers to close sales.
• Provide consultative services to customers and confirm their needs are met before leaving the store.
• Execute orders and projects in the area of focus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with assistance.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
• 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs.
• 2 years of experience in providing customer service and resolving complaints.
• 2 years of experience following up on outstanding customer orders or sales.
• 1 year of experience promoting product-related services and plans.
• 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals.
• 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
• 1 year of experience selling appliances.
