About the position
The Sales Specialist Cabinets at Lowe's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a well-stocked and clean store environment. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating product features, and ensuring merchandise is showroom ready. The Sales Specialist acts as an expert in the field, providing consultative services to customers and executing orders and projects related to cabinets.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality customer service while maintaining a clean and stocked store.
- Understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products and services.
- Ensure displayed merchandise meets showroom standards and operates correctly during demonstrations.
- Engage in safe work practices and operate store equipment properly.
- Explain product specifications and features to customers to facilitate sales.
- Provide consultative services to customers and confirm their needs are met before they leave the store.
- Execute orders and projects in the area of focus.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of external experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe's retail experience.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order Sales.
- 2 years of experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs or plans.
- 2 years of experience in providing customer service, including resolving complaints and building customer relationships.
- 2 years of experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs.
- 1 year of experience promoting product-related services and plans such as installation or delivery.
- 2 years of experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
- 1 year of employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.
- 2 years of experience designing customized products using 20/20 or CAD systems.
- Professional Certification related to position (e.g., NKBA).
- Associate Degree in Interior Design.
